Second Grade

WELCOME TO SECOND GRADE

Dear Second Grade Parents,

Hello! My name is Ms. Amy Lodevico and I am your child's teacher for the 2016-2017 academic school year.  I am very excited to get to know both you and your child!

Here are a few things about myself:

1. I've graduated with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Animation from Cal State Fullerton and worked in the animation industry for several years.
2. I've taught art and music to grades K-8 at Blessed Sacrament where I discovered my calling to be a teacher.
3. I've taught two years at St. Francis of Assisi (both middle school and elementary grades).
4. I've graduated my Master's Degree Program in Elementary Education at Mount St. Mary's College.

Much of your student's academic success is keeping communication open between you, your child, and myself.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.  You can see me before or immediately after school in my classroom.  Also, each child will receive a Parent-Teacher Communication Folder in which you will be updated on any classroom news and your child’s progress.  In this folder, you can write any questions or concerns that you may have.  If you would like to volunteer or help our classroom in any way possible, please let me know. Your generosity of your time and talents are greatly appreciated! Also, please visit our Second Grade site to know more what's going on in our class.

I am a firm believer of the power of faith and positivity in your child’s learning environment.  It is my mission to not only help your child succeed academically, but spiritually as well.  I believe that every student in my class is blessed with a God given talent.  It is my goal to help your child discover his/her gifts and how he/she can share those gifts for the greater glory of God. Please feel free to contact me with any concerns at alodevico@ourladyofloretto.org.

Once again, welcome.  I am looking forward to a fun and fantastic year ahead!

God bless,

Miss Amy Lodevico
