Welcome!
My name is Jamison Mahar and I am very excited to embark on my 2nd year as principal at Our Lady of Loretto Catholic School.
My professional background has been rooted in education, leadership, and Catholicism. I attended Riverside Community College where I earned my Associates Degree in Behavioral and Social Studies. I then moved across the country, transferred to Marist College in New York, and received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Special Education. After completing my BA degree, I was accepted into the PLACE Corps program and earned my Master’s Degree from Loyola Marymount University in Educational Studies.
This coming school year will mark my 8th year with the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Within this past year, I served as a Resident Principal at St. Matthias Dual Language School with the Onward Leaders Program. During this time, I learned many valuable skills and lessons that will help me to succeed as your principal. Before my time as a Resident Principal, I was a 5th-grade teacher at Saint Anthony of Padua. During my time at Saint Anthony, I took on other leadership roles such as Athletic Director, STEP Coordinator, Musical Director, and Spirit Team Coordinator. I look forward to using my collective experiences to make this year a great one!
I promise to work hard and am committed to creating a school that families, students, and staff enjoy coming to. I am committed to always exploring new ways to meet the needs of all students and to effectively communicate with parents and community members.
In closing, I look forward to a wonderful year ahead. My door is always open to you, and I sincerely welcome your input and support. I am excited about all we will accomplish together for our children and look forward to celebrating our collective success this school year!
God Bless,
Ms. Jamison Mahar
Principal
